Every GWM unit we stock at GWM Export is left-hand drive (LHD). That is not a preference; it is the reality of the source market. Our vehicles come from the China domestic market, where LHD is standard. For importers in Russia/CIS, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, this is usually an advantage. But not every destination allows LHD registration. Some markets require right-hand drive (RHD), and a few have specific age or emissions rules that make LHD registration impractical. This walkthrough explains how to check your market and what to do if LHD is not accepted. We are an independent exporter, not affiliated with GWM. We provide real listings, reference FOB prices, and export documents. For questions, contact us on WhatsApp.
Inquiry: Confirm Your Destination Rules
Before you commit to any unit, confirm two things: steering side and vehicle age. Most of Africa, the Middle East, Russia/CIS, and Latin America are LHD markets. Countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and Chile all register LHD vehicles. In contrast, South Africa, Australia, the UK, and Japan require RHD. If your destination is RHD, you cannot register a standard LHD GWM. Some importers in RHD markets buy LHD units for off-road use only, but that is a different process. Always check with your local customs authority or transport department. We can share the vehicle's registration date and mileage, but we cannot change the steering side. Our stock is LHD only.
Quote: Reference FOB Prices and Landed Cost
Once you confirm LHD is accepted, we provide a reference FOB price based on real listings. For example, a 2020 H6 1.5GDIT Platinum Champion Version SUV with 119,000 km is listed at $6,800 FOB. A 2021 H6 1.5GDIT Supreme SUV with 40,000 km is $9,500 FOB. The H6 family ranges from $5,200 to $15,800 FOB across model years 2018–2025. The Good Cat EV ranges from $5,200 to $11,500 FOB for 2021–2025. These are reference prices, not final quotes. Your landed cost includes FOB, ocean freight, insurance, duty, VAT, and port charges. Duty rates vary by country and vehicle type. For instance, used pickups often have different duty than passenger cars. We provide a landed-cost breakdown on request. All prices are in USD.
Sample: Review Real Photos and Data
We do not use stock photos. Each listing includes real photos, odometer reading, and registration date. For example, the 2020 H6 listing shows 119,000 km and the 2021 H6 shows 40,000 km. You can see the actual condition of the vehicle. If you need more photos or a video, we can arrange that via WhatsApp. We also provide the VIN so you can verify the vehicle history. Our goal is transparency: what you see is what you get. We encourage you to ask questions before you commit. If a listing does not have enough detail, tell us and we will get it.
Production: Sourcing and Preparation
Once you confirm a unit, we source it from the China domestic market. This usually takes 3–7 days. We then prepare the vehicle for export: cleaning, basic maintenance check, and documentation. We do not modify vehicles. If you need accessories, we can source them separately. The preparation stage is when we confirm the final price and timeline. We will send you a proforma invoice with all charges. Payment terms are typically 30% deposit, 70% before shipment. We accept bank transfer. We do not accept credit cards or PayPal for vehicle purchases. All transactions are in USD.
QC: Inspection and Documentation
Before shipment, we conduct a quality check. This includes verifying the odometer, checking for any obvious defects, and confirming all documents are in order. The documents you will receive include: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (B/L), certificate of origin (COO), and export declaration. Depending on your destination, you may also need a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) certificate. We can arrange that through a third-party agency. The COO is issued by China Customs or a authorized body. Your customs broker will ask for these documents. We send scanned copies before shipment and originals via courier. We also provide the vehicle title and registration documents from China.
Shipping: From Tianjin or Guangzhou
We ship from two Chinese ports: Tianjin and Guangzhou. Tianjin is commonly used for destinations in Russia/CIS, while Guangzhou serves Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. You can choose RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) or container shipping. RoRo is cheaper but offers less protection. Container is more expensive but safer. Transit time varies: to Nigeria, about 30–40 days; to UAE, 15–25 days; to Mexico, 30–45 days. We handle booking and customs clearance at origin. You need a customs broker at destination. We provide all necessary documents to your broker. Shipping costs are quoted separately from FOB. Insurance is recommended and can be arranged.
After-Sales: Support and Parts
After delivery, we remain available for support. If you need spare parts, we can source them from China. We can also connect you with local mechanics who have experience with GWM vehicles. Note that warranty is not included unless explicitly stated. These are used vehicles sold as-is. We encourage you to inspect the vehicle upon arrival and report any issues within 7 days. We will work with you to resolve them. For any questions, contact us on WhatsApp. We are an independent exporter, not affiliated with GWM. We aim to make your import process smooth and transparent.
